				| I inherited a Series D 4x5 camera from my dad, SN 184199. He acquired it in the early '50s, in trade for a Series B camera that his brother bought him when my dad returned from service. I'm trying to narrow down the age range of the camera, if anyone can assist. Thanks in advance. |

184199 was in a block of 4x5 RB Ser. D serial numbers 184162-184361 issued 5/25/1934. The next block of 4x5 RB Ser. D serial numbers was issued 11/15/1934.

Your father's camera was probably made between those dates. |

Thanks, Dan. Much appreciated. My dad used the camera between 1953, when my sister and I were born, and 1957; the negatives abruptly stop then, most likely because we were moving too fast, and in different directions, for him. I asked him for years to teach me how to use the camera, but to no avail. |
