|
|
Hello,
I'm new at Graflex.org and new to TLRs. I just purchased a Graflex 22 Mod. 400 and the seller says the viewing lens is missing.
Am I able to purchase/replace lenses on this model? More so, am I able to get a viewing lens for it? The seller says the taking lens is in great shape?
Also, do I have to correct for parallax error on this model?
Thank you and I'm so excited to enter the TLR arena.

You probably won't be able to find a replacement lens unless you take one off a parts camera with exactly the same taking lens.
But you can still use the camera with zone focusing and the "sport" viewfinder. |

Due to production tolerances a lens will not necessarily be the marked focal length. The actual focal length may vary .1mm to 5mm either side of the marked focal length.
The taking and viewing lens on a TLR were optically matched at the factory.
There are hand held and hot shoe mount accessory rangefinders that can be used to find the subject distance then set the camera focus to the same distance. _________________ The best camera ever made is the one that YOU enjoy using and produces the image quality that satifies YOU. |
