Does anyone have any experience with the Calumet Polaroid processor for 8x10? How well does it work compared with Polaroid's version? |

No experience, but I'd be mildly surprised if it weren't just a relabeled Polaroid-built unit...

The Calumet processor has no relationship at all to the Polaroid. It's a completely different design and hand cranked only. Hand cranking on the Poloaroid was an option and it was not particularly devloped for that kind of operation.
I don't have a Calumet here, but from what I've heard it works just fine. The only minor problem seems to be to adjust to the proper crank spedd and keeping that speed constant. I haven't heard any particular compaints about it and many people seem to like it. If it were not for the cost of the processor (and film), I'd grab one just to compare. I have no doubts that it must weight considerably less that the Polaroid beast with it's heavy motor...
