I recently bought a mint 10 inch Kodak Anastigmat on a 4x4 wooden lensboard with a small triangle painted in red with SC inside and a C stamped in a corner, serial EE123.
OK, routine, Signal Corps,1944, but aperture is 4.85 and not 4.5.
I googled nothing out of it.
Idea anyone ?

I'm a big fan of Kodak Anastigmat lenses.I have never heard of this one, though. There were probably very few made, thus the low serial number. Government contracts during the war brought about many unusual items to meet specific needs. It appears that you have one such item and it's probably very rare. If the C is stamped on the back of the lens board, it is to fit a 4X5 pre - Pacemaker model Speed Graphic.
