I was wondering where you all get your shutters serviced? And what is the average charge for this service? this is a great site that has helped me enormously starting out in LF/Graphic photography!! |

It is a graphex shutter and the speeds are wrong. The second does not close and the other times don't seem correct, I figure it needs a good cleaning. |

| I've used two, http://www.skgrimes.com and http://www.flutotscamerarepair.com . Both give good service, these days Flutot's charges less. |

You are correct. After a general clean up and reassembly the thing should run very good. these are nice shutters and tend to clean up and run better than the Kodak supers. They are also very simple little machines and not impossible to figure out if one is reasonably mechanical.
The problem seems to be that it costs more to have them serviced than they are worth.
I finally gave in and started doing them for myself and a couple friends. If by any chance you decide to do it yourself, I can offer a few pointers before you take the faceplate off...

I'll second the Flutot's recommendation. Besides providing good service, prices are reasonable. For the price they charge, I would not bother to touch the thing myself.
