Hello, I'm new here and to medium format as a whole. I am interested in aqquiring a Model E but the seller stated that the shutter sticks during the longer exposure times. Is a sticky shutter and easy repair or should a medium format rookie like myself move on to something else ? |

Model "E"? maybe a model D?
In any event I will assume an SLR as you posted under "reflex". If the shutter curtain is in good shape and works ok for the high speeds, the odds are good that all it needs is a touch of lube and maybe a bit more tension on the spring. Apply both the lube and tension sparingly, just enough to drop the curtain from the last position.
Quiz the seller carefully about the condition of the curtain, as many are dried out, cracked and full of pinholes. It should be described as having a smooth surface with perhaps a slight gray cast. Pinholes can of course be detected by examining the curtain against a strong light (with the mirror up!). Check the entire length of the curtain.
