I have a straight-back Series B which seems to be in good working order, except somewhere along the line the focusing hood was put on backwards -- the word "Graflex" faces the lid, and the little tabs that allow the hood to pop up when the lid opens obviously don't engage anything because they're on the front. This is no major deal, but I'd like to fix it if I can. However, I don't want to just dive in not knowing exactly what I'm doing on a camera this old. Anyone know the procedure for this? Thanks much. Also, anyone know when it was made? Serial number is 443164. I am assuming the window of possiblity here is small since they weren't made for a real long time, at least that is my understanding. Thanks again. |

Small T shaped spring front center engages the frame of the hood--squeeze it and the hood should pop loose.
The bar you see across the hood, fits into the 2 retainers on the lid--be sure to get the lower back of the hood under the small lip before snapping the hood into its proper position--the hood should then fold as you close the top! Bert |
