I built the hood as described on this website a few days ago, and finally took it out for a run a little while ago.
What a pleasure.
I never enjoyed using a darkcloth(I look like I escaped the nuthouse when my hair gets ruffled up.), and the pop-up hood on my B&J isn't all that great, but with the new hoood attached, it was superb.
I used some light baffle from micro-tools to put a cushion layer around the cut-out where my face goes in since the bare cut plastic was not very comfortable. Two curtains were also glued to the sides to pad and form to my face to block light. This made the fit really comfortable and light-tight.
Now I must make one for horizontal compositions. |
