In my ongoing discovery of the details of my new GV II, I have come across one thing that I cannot figure out. On the left edge of the back there are two shallow grooves (top and bottom) that were clearly put there by the factory. They look as though a circular saw blade was used to machine them to a depth of about 3/16ths of an inch; they are just over an inch long and 1/16th wide. Does anyone know what they are for? |

You've got your back in "landscape" mode.
Put it in "portrait" mode and say "ah Ha!"
don't feel bad I had to stare at mine for a good 5 minutes before I figured it out. |

And the funny part is that one of the first things I did when I got the camera was to mount the back vertically just to see that it fit right... |
