Has anyone had experience with a Kalart range finder (2.25 century graphic) that has an auxillary lamp?
The lamp and switch look in good shape but was wonder how it was powered. Via a 3 cell Flash? Or some other source.
Thanks. |

The "auxillary [sic]lamp" you describe is actually an accessory called a focuspot. It is designed to use the power of the Graflite battery case via a short cord. They are not easy to find any longer but an option is to use a short razor cord with it's connections.
They weren't limited to 3 cell cases - 2 cell cases will do just fine. Graflex replaced this with its own unit when it designed the "top rangefinder" Graphic model. However, there was no such attachment for the Century, so the Kalart was used to the end. |

Paramount can make "Focuspot" cords, to their usual very high standard. I got one five or six years ago. |
