I recently picked up a rb series b camera in working order. It needed a cleaning, but the shutter is intact and working.

I have downloaded the manual so I know all the parts on the camera, except one.

Between the rb release plunger and the mirror setting lever there is a small item that I can't find in any manual. It is held on by 2 screws and is about 1/4 inch in diameter and height. There seems to be a button that rotates in the sleeve.

Does anyone have an idea what this is, and how it is used? If I can figure out how to upload an image on this site, I will. (I'm new here, but not new to cameras)

Richard

				| I haven't seen it on any other camera photo! Unique! It may be an addition to mount some accessory. |
