I just got my Crown Graphic 23 yesterday. I noticed that the shutter cable which should be hooked to the release button on the right lower corner is missing. Also I don't see any mechanism to flip the shutter. Kodak Flash Supermatic. What am I missing?

The cable and shutter trip is typically removed entirely when the cable gets broken by a lot of people because its useless with a broken cable.
You can accomplish the same thing with a pistol grip shutter release and just unhook it when you fold the camera up.
Replacing the cable is sort of a PITA I've done it before on my Speed and have no desire to replace another one. (I did it without removing the bellows)
If I were to do another it would be in conjunction with a bellows change.
