Can some one advise the lens board hole that will be required for a Kodak Supermatic (X) shutter (the size that carries the Ektar 127 mm f.4.7, if there are different sizes).

Thanks.

The 127/4.7 Ektar fits a #1 shutter, which usually fits in a 40 mm hole, but I'm not 100% certain the Supermatic had standard size mounting threads. Someone else can likely verify, or if you have the shutter you can just measure the O.D. over the rear threads, should be 39 and a tiny fraction millimeters.

Thanks. I have a Supermatic here (on my Minny), but it is mounted in a flange (screwed to the rear of the lens board), and also has a locating pin, so I'm not sure how it went together. I'll find out!

I waited 70 years, and that was too long!

Well, here's the scoop, based on measurements of my No. 2 Supermatic (on my Minny):

The major diamater of the shutter mounting threads is 34.90 mm (1.374 in.).

It is mounted with a flange-form retaining ring, with a sleeve OD of 38.08 mm (1.499 in.).

The hole on the lens board has a diamater of 38.25 mm (1.506 in.).

The retaining ring is locked in place with three FH machine screws into pre-drilled/tapped holes in the rear of the board (there are 6 available - two possible index positions).

Best regards,

Doug
