I have a 150mm f6.8 Dagor by C.P. Goerz of Berlin. It is in barrel at present, I want it re-mounted into a shutter.
This is a pre-war European lens and I am hoping that there won't be any constructional differences that will complicate the work.
Post-war products from C.P. Goerz AM were offered in a Compur #0 or Ilex equivalent.
Anyone out there had a 150mm Dagor re-mounted?
If we venture into the realms of tricky machining then we face the fact that for the same dough one could get a example of 150mm Symmar or Sironar.

"Dagors" were around for a long time, and turn up in all kinds of shutters, so mounting one shouldn't be difficult.

Depending on what you want to do with the lens, a "studio" shutter might be a low-cost solution. The ones prevalent in this part of the world have been around for a long, long time as "Packard" or "Ideal" shutters. They are still available from:

and they often turn up used, at very reasonable prices.

Many years ago, I built one into a rather crude lensboard extension for my "Graphic View II," so I could use enlarger lenses for closeup photographs with photoflood illumination. It worked very well.
