Looking at a voiglander color-scopar for my 2 1/4. Any advise? Have a coated tessar already but this new lens comes with a pristine camera. contrast & resolution most important considerations. Any experiences? |

| Hmm. A post-war tessar is a post-war tessar is a post-war tessar. Unless it is front-cell focusing, in which case it is a little lens. I've got some better than adequate shots with a pre-WWI B&L f/6.3 tessar, so am much less enthusiastic about replacing one tessar with another than I used to be.
If your tessar is unsatisfactory, give the color skopar a try. If your tessar is not too horrible, work on technique and save your small monetary units for a lens that won't duplicate a focal length you already have. |
