Graphex Shutters

No. 1 Graphex Shutter

The No. 1 Graphex Shutter is synched for electronic flash. The shutter sync is adjustable with a three-position lever: M, X, and other.

Shutter cocking and release are done with two separate levers. Focus viewing is accomplished with the press-style focus lever.

The rim is metal, and the front is black with ``GRAPHEX'' in bold white block letering.

Some Graflex Optar lenses were made in No. 1 Graphex Shutters.

Graphex (X) Shutter

The X shutter has syncronization of electronic flashtubes. For flash bulbs, the solenoid attached to the lens board is hooked to the flash unit, which signals the solenoid to trigger the shutter at the appropriate time.
