1) there are 12 127mm scales, and 6 135mm scales, so the chances of getting the correct ones for a particular lens are slim.

2) ads like this [FS, FA, WTB, WTT] are forbidden on this list.

Quoted from another post... Try here

Anyone wanting to check it out or use it, go to:
http://www.southbristolviews.com and click on "Graflexchange" on the left-side menu

Specifially set up for this sort of thing..

That said, If you just want your distance scale to be accurate.... Get a tape measure, set your camera on a tripod, and start making measurments at known distances while focusing on the screen, FROM THE FILM PLANE. With some masking tape or correction tape (do they still sell that??) set up your own distance scale. I've owned several graflex cameras set up that way and in most cases they were more accurate.. Partly due to what the other poster said about several different scales for the same focal length lens.

Now Go have some fun and expose some film..

Jeff

Sorry, didin't know. It's not that I'm trying to make money, just help each other out for difficult to get parts

How is it possible that different 135mm lenses have different distance scales?

Nominal focal length differs from actual. NO lens manufacturer can consistently make lenses exactly to specification.

For example, I've had 20 (yes! twenty!) 38/4.5 Zeiss Biogons whose focal length had been measured by the camera manufacturer (NOT Hasselblad) to whom they'd been sold. The range was 38.3 mm - 38.8 mm.

Cheers,

Dan

Here's a bit more info from Tim Holden,

The [variation] produced some overlap at one end or the other of a set of scales, so there had to be a set of 5 pre-marked scales for each make, speed, and focal length of lens. For example, this meant 3 sets of 5 scales for the 135mm length of lenses from Zeiss, Schneider, and Graflex.

But hey, that kind off difference will not be seen on something as crude as the distance scale. That difference is so minimal that the read-interpretation error or the distance estimation error will be much larger. So why bother?
