I have a bunch of these and recently added another "23" knob back. But the gate is weird; all of the rest of my 8 exposure backs measure 83mm wide, and this one measures 78mm wide. It has pin rollers. The insert may be mismatched, but the gate width is not 6X7 either; is it for a 70mm back, or were those for 6X7?
Everything else looks normal, except that someone installed foam seals all around. That is one reason why I think it may be a mismatched insert, as they may have been trying to get rid of the loose fit. |

The shell is correct, the ones with pin rollers have about 1/4" less gate. 2 1/4" x 3 1/16", not x 3 1/4". The insert is mismatched, but that shouldn't cause any harm.
