I purchased my second WWII US Army 4x5 Speed Graphic and this one has a Kalart Focuspot on the range finder. Seems like a clever little device. I don't have a cord for it however.
Apparently, the cord goes into the small forward light socket on my Graflex flash and then connects to the Focuspot so that I can turn it on and off with the switch on the flash tower.

Does anyone know of an aftermarket supplier of these cords? I have looked on EBay, etc... but to be honest, I am not ever that sure if something like this would even be worth puting up for auction.

A point in the right direction would be great. Feel free to contact me off board if you like. Thanks for everything in advance and I hope to hear from you soon!

Paramount can supply a cord for the "Focuspot." I found this out four or five years ago, when I called to ask about such cords. The proprietor told me that, if I'd send him a "Focuspot" to look at, he'd make the cord -- so I did, and he did. Paramount is a first-rate supplier.

Another possible source for you might start with an electric shaver cord. That should fit the focuspot. For those using Graflite battery tubes, you're good to go. For your older flash, you'd have to join that with an old cord containing the proper plug for your battery case.

Otherwise, you'll probably have to make an "investment" in a cord from Paramount.

I couldn't get the cord from my old electric shaver to fit on the pins of my focuspot. I eventually just went to a local camera store and dug through their shelves of old cords until I found one with a male bi-post, and another with a female bi-post and made my own cable. Just try to find a female bi-post and whatever else you need and splice them up.

It's a whole lot easier than it sounds. I've even used liquid tape to cover the pins...

Isn't the cord for those just a standard bi-post to household cord?
If so, Paramount has those or knowing what it's called, they can be found on ebay regularly.
